still no piglets

As of 7PM last night, there were still no piglets. My daugther called as she was getting ready to head back to the barn for the thrid night in a row.

She reports that the MAMA pig is getting cut up because she is scratching on the crate they keep her in for birthing. The crate limits her movement so she can't crush the babies when they are born. She also told me that the MaMa is shaking, crying, etc. She is very very uncomfortable. The babies were due on the 18th. When they hit 4 days late, they will call the vet.

She had been complaining a week ago that she didn't want Christmas break because it is long and boring when they are stuck at the facility without school. Now she is extatic because she sleeps during the day and spends the night at the barn on watch.

Hopefully when she calls me today there will have been piglets.

I asked her why freedom doesn't want freed... she said she didn't know.

As for the pregnant dog... My daughter thinks it sleeps with her and not the other kids because she hasn't washed her blanket since she got there... a blanket Max and Sammy slept on all the time... so she thinks mama dog smells her dogs and is trying to next there.
